Electric Cars

In years past, electric cars were considered overpriced and over-hyped. But with continuing research and improvements, these vehicles have grown more reliable and less expensive. While they still possess considerably less power than the average vehicle, the newer models are not nearly as flimsy as the early electric cars. With so many quality models being released, it is easier than ever for Canadians to get their hands on quality electric vehicles.

The Nissan LEAF also comes equipped with a great navigation system and satellite radio. And if you are looking to escape the noise and pressure of daily life, you’ll be amazed at how much peace and quiet you find inside your electric vehicle.

The Chevy Volt takes a slightly different approach to the electric vehicle. Its battery pack allows drivers to cruise 80 kilometers before charging up again. While this is a shorter distance than the Nissan LEAF, the advantage to buying the Chevy Volt is that it has a gas engine that will start working when the battery quits. this means that you can travel a lot farther and you don’t have to worry about being stranded on the side of the road. The Chevy Volt also comes with handy little accessories like a rear camera and navigation system, both of which can be easily accessed using the car’s touchscreen display.

The Tesla Roadster banishes all stereotypes concerning dorky electric vehicles. This sleek car is full of power going from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in only 3.7 seconds. The car’s top speed is an impressive 125 kilometers per hour. And with a range of almost 400 kilometers, you can drive this baby a long time before having to recharge it. Perhaps one of the best things about the Tesla Roadster Sport is its decidedly loud appearance. With its vibrant color choices and sporty vibe, this car is certainly not a wallflower. And like all the cool cars out right now, the Tesla Roadster Sport comes with everything a tech junkie craves, including a touchscreen navigation system, USB port and an iPod dock connector.
